The Groundhog Day
Tommorow is February 2, The Groundhog day is come. According to wiki, Groundhog Day is an annual holiday celebrated on February 2. It is held in the United States and Canada. Although it may not be an official holiday, but it’s celebrated widely and has become our nation’s way of predicting whether Winter will continue to reign for six more weeks – or if Spring will be here early.
While the predicition is completely random and doesn’t hold any real truth whatsoever, whether or not a groundhog sees its shadow on February 2 has been our way of predicing whether Winter will last for six more weeks – or if it will end sooner.
A funny fact: Staten Island Chuck, the impatient Groundhog from the Staten Island Zoo, bit New York Mayor Mike Bloomberg last year as he tried to lure the woodchuck out of his burrow.
I don’t know about you, but for me, this is not always true. Believe it or not, it’s up to you and your faith.
