University of New Mexico soccer player Elizabeth Lambert made headlines for the ponytail takedown of her opponent Kassidy Shumway during the NCAA Mountain West Conference semi-final between UNM and Brigham Young University last week.
Video of the incident went viral and led to an indefinite suspension for Lambert.
The hair pulling incident was just one of several inappropriate tactics that the UNM athlete used as part of her field strategy.
